Research Operational Manual:
Step-by-Step Profiling

The following protocols are mandatory for all field personnel. Data not meeting these 24 specific verification points will be flagged as "Incomplete" and excluded from the SCL National Archive.

01. Nutritional Heritage Protocol

Focus: Alchemy & Survival Systems

Step 1: Bio-Origin Documentation

  • Taxonomy: Record local name, Swahili name, and Tribal dialect.
  • Soil Composition: Macro-photo of earth (Volcanic, sandy, or clay-based).
  • Symbiosis: Map the micro-ecosystem (neighboring flora/fauna).

Step 2: Processing & Transformation

  • Kinetic Analysis: Record exact hand movements (e.g., stirring direction).
  • Thermal Profile: Document fuel source (Specific wood/chemical smoke profile).
  • Fermentation: Log duration, vessel material (clay/wood), and ambient temp.

Step 3: Social & Ritual Context

  • Demographics: Exclusive consumers (Elders, children, postpartum mothers).
  • Lunar Mapping: Match harvest months to the lunar calendar.
  • Taboos: Prohibited behaviors to preserve spiritual integrity.

02. Botanical Forensics Protocol

Focus: Pharmacopeia & Healing Wisdom

Step 4: Identification & Taxonomy

  • 4K Macro: Documentation of leaf veins, bark, and root nodes.
  • Sensory Profile: Verified smell, bitterness, and thickness indicators.
  • Collection Ethics: Ritual/prayer protocols for dawn/dusk harvesting.

Step 5: Pharmaceutical Preparation

  • Extraction: Decoction (boiled), infusion, or cold-maceration.
  • Formula: Ratio log (e.g., bark volume per liter of spring water).
  • Active Life: Shelf-life data and burial/storage methods.

Step 6: Administration & Safety

  • Dosage: Frequency and physiological toxicity indicators.
  • Dietary Restrictions: Behaviors to avoid during treatment.
  • Oral Record: Recorded explanation of the "disease spirit."

03. Systematic Engineering Protocol

Focus: Indigenous Tools & Logic

Step 7: Material Engineering

  • Component Audit: Specific woods, animal sinew, natural resins.
  • Property Strength: Flexibility, hardness, and termite resistance.
  • Sequence: Order of assembly and "anchor" point identification.

Step 8: Operational Dynamics

  • Motion Study: Tri-angle filming (Wide, Medium, Close-up).
  • Force Analysis: Leverage, gravity, or centrifugal force study.
  • Repair Logic: Documentation of maintenance rituals.

04. Final Archival Submission

Focus: Verification & Chain of Custody

Step 9: PDF Metadata & Final Sync

System Specs

  • Auto-Timestamp: TZ-02 (Tanzania)
  • ID Match: Subject Name = Audio ID
  • Cache: Clear before new entry
